It's done now, either way. I saw that jar of buttons you were hoarding, the ones with the rust and the weird shapes, and I told you we needed to clear the shelf before the move. I know you were attached to them, thought they had some story, but I moved them out. You can't keep everything. It's just stuff. I told the foreman to take the box down to the basement, same as the broken lamp and those magazines from three years ago. You're going to be angry, probably for a week, but the shelf is clear. I can't keep watching you stare at the same clutter, hoping it will mean something different tomorrow. It won't. Just leave it.
