You’re staring at your phone again. What’s the thing? Tuesday, right? Or was it Wednesday? I keep losing track because of these damn roundabouts. They’re designed to confuse you. Makes you check your GPS, makes you slow down. I took the old route yesterday, missed the turn, ended up in that industrial park with the leaking roofs. Smelled like wet cardboard and regret. You always were terrible at navigating, Jo. Always took the scenic route. Which, frankly, is why you’re still single. Your schedule must be a disaster. Just admit it. I know you’re busy. Or pretending to be. It’s freezing in here. My fingers are numb.
