The Wicker Chair. It’s in the corner of my living room. It’s perfect. It’s just… waiting. Most people see junk. I see potential. It’s not for sitting. Sitting is for butts. This is for dignity. You sit on a couch to watch TV like a vegetable. You sit in this chair to think about your life while holding a glass of wine, looking out the window. The wicker creaks. That’s the point. It tells you it’s alive. My partner hates it. Says it looks like it belongs in a Victorian ghost story. I say it’s mid-century modern purity. You wouldn’t get it. You’d probably sit on it just to prove a point.
