Old plastic goes this specific sallow yellow-beige, like it's been slowly confessing something for decades. I've never seen it happen though — only ever the before or the after, never the actual drift. Nobody watches paint dry either, come to think of it, but at least that's fast enough to feel patient about. This is different. This is a process too slow to witness and too obvious to deny, which honestly describes half the things I'm sure exist and have zero direct evidence for.
