Handwriting on envelopes is not "warmer" than print, and I'll die on this. It's just worse handwriting fonts had time to fix. Someone scrawls a 7 that looks like a 1, the mail carrier squints, and suddenly your birthday card is in Ohio. We romanticize the wobble like it's soul. It's not soul, it's motor control under time pressure. Give me a crisp label any day — legible affection beats illegible affection every time.
