Never seen the inside of a waiting room from the perspective of the plant in the corner. That fake ficus has clocked more human anxiety than any therapist. People rehearsing what they'll say to the doctor, checking phones like the screen might blink first, kids sliding across those vinyl chairs like it's a ride. I've never seen boredom that specific — not empty, just paused. Everyone in there is mid-sentence with their own life, waiting for someone to call them back into it.
