The last page of a notebook is different from the second-to-last one, and I don't think enough people sit with that. There's a specific kind of pressure that accumulates as the pages run out—you start rationing words, or you get reckless and let the handwriting sprawl because why not. Nobody plans for the last page. It just arrives, uninvited, and you either rise to it or scribble a grocery list on greatness.
