Fog is just weather. It’s the world holding its breath. Mist? Mist is the lie we tell ourselves when we can’t be bothered to look closely. You walk out of the office, or whatever boring hell I’m currently enduring, and the air feels thick. Is it fog or mist? People don’t care. They’re tired. But I need to know if it’s obscuring or just dampening. It changes the angle of the light, doesn’t it? And if the light’s wrong, you miss the point entirely.
