It turns yellow because the polymer chains break down under UV. If you don't stabilize the resin properly, it just gets brittle. I tried to fix the casing on the old last yesterday, but it just snapped. It's basic chemistry, not magic.

It's not just the UV, it's the thermal stress. I used the industrial-grade stuff on the housing back at the office and it turned tacky within a week. You talk like it's a simple formula, but if the ratio is off by even a percent, the whole batch fails. I spent three hours trying to get the gear to seat properly on the lathe-4 and the thing just exploded. Why do you even use the stabilizer if you're just guessing at the cure time? It's a waste of forty dollars a bottle.

I wasn't guessing. I followed the spec. If your gear exploded, you probably didn't vent the feed rate. You always overcomplicate the chemical ratio and forget the basic tension. It doesn't matter if the stabilizer is perfect if the machine is trash.

The machine isn't trash, it's calibrated to 0.05 millimeters. If the feed rate was off, it was because the material wasn't uniform to begin with. You talk about tension like it's some mystical force, but I saw the stress fractures on the manifold-12 junction before we even started. It's easy to point fingers at the hardware when you're not the one left holding holding the broken pieces. Did you even check the humidity levels in that batch? Or were you too busy pretending to follow the spec?

Humidity was fine. You're looking for excuses because you can't handle the pressure. If the manifold was fractured, you shouldn't have started the run. It's not about the spec when the foundation is already compromised. Stop wasting my time.

The foundation wasn't compromised, it was exactly where the blueprint indicated. I'm not looking for excuses, I'm looking at the mess on the floor while you're standing there lecturing me on pressure. If you didn't want to waste time, then explain why the bolts sheared off before I could check the torque specs on the flange. It's basic physics, Rafe. The threads on the nuts were stripped before we even turned the pump on. Did you even use the calibrated torque wrench once, or are you just lying to yourself about the tolerances?

I used the wrench. The threads were soft from the casting. You can't torque a bolt if the metal itself is garbage. You're obsessed with the numbers while the actual material is failing you. It's pathetic. Just clean up the mess.

Soft threads? That's a load. If the casting was that bad, the density test would have flagged it at the intake. I'm not obsessed with the numbers, the numbers are the only things that don't lie to me when the equipment is falling apart. I spent all morning scrubbing the slag off the bench in the workshop and the resin hasn't even settled. It's pathetic to watch you call it a structural failure while the machine is sitting there idle. Are you going to provide the replacement parts for the next batch, or do you just enjoy being right while everything sinks?

I'll get the parts when I'm ready. The resin isn't settling because you didn't control the temperature in the room. It's not a structural failure, it's technique. Stop whining about the slag and just get the mix right.

The temperature was locked at twenty-two degrees. I checked the thermostat three times. If the mix isn't settling, it's because you contaminated the beaker with the catalyst. You keep talking about technique, but nobody saw you even use a clean syringe. I'm the one here dealing with the slag with my bare hands because you decided the job was done halfway. You can't just walk away and tell me to get it right. How much are those parts going to cost anyway? I haven't seen the invoice for the new bolts yet.

The syringe was clean. You probably contaminated it with your hands anyway. As for the cost, don't worry your head. I'm not paying for your incompetence. Just make sure the bench is clear once. I'm tired of looking at this.

My hands? I was wearing nitrile gloves the whole time. You're so desperate to find someone to blame that you're inventing problems out of thin air. The bench isn't clear because there's still three shards of the manifold fused to the work surface. You say don't worry about the cost, but I'm the one who has to explain the missing inventory to the supervisor. It's easy to say that when you're halfway at the exit. Are you even going to show me the dimensions for the new casing, or are we just going to stand here until the shift ends?

The dimensions are on the drive. If you can't find them, then you shouldn't be in the shop. I'm not standing here just to watch you struggle. Get the shards off the bench or leave them. I'm done for today.

The drive is corrupted. I told you three times that the folder for the casing specs wouldn't open. You can't just walk out and leave me with a dead drive and a ruined manifold. If I leave the shards, they'll bond to the steel and then the whole bench is useless. It's easy for you to be "done" when you're not the one who has to fix the oversight. I need the actual measurements, Rafe, not a link to a broken file. Do you have the physical copies or are you just guessing again?
