The smell of rain on hot tarmac, always that heavy, metallic scent that hits you right before everything goes sideways, is exactly what was in the air when you decided to leave the gate unlatched, despite I telling you specifically the latch was acting up. I'm not saying I'm the one who has to mop up the mess now, but it's not my fault the water didn't care about your opinion on whether the wind would hold just fine. I was right there, trying to get the blueprints dry while you were off worrying about things that actually mattered, and now you're acting surprised that the rug is ruined. It's a masterpiece of negligence.
